Rita Dominic’s The Meeting Sets New Cinema Grossing Record

Rita Dominic has a reason to smile this new year, as her movie The Meeting is doing very well.
The Meeting reportedly grossed over N25million in cinemas, a bar that hadn’t been crossed before.
The movie was released on DVD on January 1, 2014 and has reportedly has sold over 50,000 copies within two weeks of its release.

The romantic comedy features a combination of emerging stars and industry superstars including Rita Dominic herself, Tinsel star, Linda Ejiofor, Femi Jacobs and experienced thespian, Jide Kosoko.
The movie also has special appearances by Kate Henshaw, Nse Ikpe Etim, Basorge Tariah Jnr and Chinedu Ikediezie. Last year, the film got six nominations in different categories at the Africa Movies Academy Awards (AMAA).
